Received a call on my mobile phone at 12:14 PM CST from 979-203-2988. I did not answer the phone as I did not recognize the number. Turns out that it was an automated message stating that I was entitled to a free home security system. I deleted the message and within 2 mins of doing so, received another call from same number. Another voice mail was left with same information.

Got two back-to-back calls and two voicemails from this number. First message was about a free home security system. Second was a man who said what sounded like, "Hello, it's Kevin Day." Followed by a minute of breathing.

Telemarketer calling cell phone that is on no call list

Received incoming call from 979-203-2988 on mobile at 5:46 on Friday 2 Jan 2015. I did not recognize the number and did not answer. The caller I.D. indicated the cal was originating from Brenham, TX. No message was left and assumed it was a scam / phishing call.

This number left a voicemail telling me to press 1 now if I wanted my 'free' $1500 security system.....

I thought it was a butt dial until I saw these messages. There was nothing but unitelligible noises.

4 calls I return call like a DC signal

So far I have only received one call. When I called back it was busy for quite some time. When I googled the number, it came up as a private number from Brenham, TX. My current number is brand-new, only about 6 people have it . When I called it again, I got a recording from Verizon saying this number had been discontinued or canceled. WTF ?

How do they get my phone number?

left message - pause then sounds like an accent saying "hello" but it is faint and distorted.

Did not answer and there's left no msg. Scammer!

Answers with repeating my phone #, then asks if "this is the # you want removed" - option 1... I selected 1 and system responded "number has been removed". or option 2... "enter a number". I entered 0 and received the same response "number has been removed". Have not reached a person with either option, with just pressing 0, or with waiting for someone to answer. I am on donotcall registry and will file a complaint w/ FCC even though this was the first call.
